Special Educator Hearing Impairment

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (any discipline).

Specialized Certification:

o Diploma or Certificate in Special Education (Hearing Impairment) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

o OR B.Ed. in Special Education (Hearing Impairment) from an RCI-approved university/institution.

o OR D.Ed. (Special Education - HI) or BASLP (Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology).

Timings:

10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Role Summary:

?Assess the developmental, cognitive, language, and educational needs of children and individuals with hearing impairment.

?Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

?Set academic and communication goals in coordination with audiologists and speech therapists.

?Facilitate language development using visual, auditory, and tactile methods.

?Reinforce speech and auditory training techniques in collaboration with a speech therapist.

?Educate and counsel parents about hearing impairment and home-based strategies.

?Prepare children for mainstream or special school environments.

?Support academic skills like reading, writing, and numeracy with tailored techniques.

?Work closely with audiologists and speech-language pathologists to ensure consistent therapy plans.

?Track and document progress toward IEP goals.

?Address behavioural issues that may arise due to communication challenges.

?Encourage peer interaction and social skill development.

?Conduct awareness programs and parent training sessions.

?Maintain educational materials, visual aids, and assistive learning tools.

?Recommend specialized learning aids based on individual needs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
