Job Summary:



The SEN Teacher is responsible for supporting students with learning difficulties, developmental delays, or physical and emotional challenges. The role involves identifying learning needs, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and working closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure inclusive, accessible, and effective learning for every student.

Key Responsibilities:



Identify and assess students with special educational needs through observation, assessments, and collaboration with teachers and parents. Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning profile. Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with academic, behavioral, emotional, or physical needs. Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities. Work closely with subject teachers to modify lesson plans and assessments to ensure inclusivity. Monitor, review, and document student progress and adjust interventions accordingly. Liaise with external professionals such as occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists when needed. Conduct regular meetings with parents to discuss student progress, concerns, and strategies. Provide training and guidance to classroom teachers on best practices in inclusive education and differentiation. Ensure compliance with relevant educational policies, child rights, and disability inclusion standards. Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of all interventions, progress reports, and communications.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education / Inclusive Education / Psychology / Learning Disabilities. Certified training in SEN education or learning support. Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with children with diverse learning needs. Strong understanding of learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder). Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive classroom tools. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Attributes:



Experience in IB inclusive education frameworks. Knowledge of national and international disability rights and education laws (e.g., RPWD Act 2016, IDEA, etc.). Ability to conduct workshops or awareness programs for staff and parents. Passionate about creating equitable and supportive learning environments for all students.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
