Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Special Educator to work with children with special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Delays. The candidate will design and implement individualized education plans and support children in achieving academic, social, emotional, and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Assess students' learning needs using formal and informal tools
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
Plan and conduct individualized and small-group educational sessions
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on child's abilities
Use multisensory and evidence-based teaching methods
Support development of communication, social skills, behavior, and academics
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports
Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and parents
Conduct parent counseling and home program guidance
Participate in team meetings, training programs, and case discussions
Support inclusive education and classroom integration where applicable
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Special Education
RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration - Mandatory
Specialization in Autism / Intellectual Disability / Learning Disability preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of child development and special needs
Knowledge of IEP planning and assessment tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and child-centered approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Basic documentation and reporting skills
Preferred Experience
Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, LD, or developmental delays
Experience in school, therapy center, early intervention, or clinical setup
