The primary mandate of the Procurement Specialist is to reduce total cost of ownership and minimize supplier risk
exposure to our Company. Performs baseline analysis on categories of spend, develop category strategies, and collaborates closely with
business/service owners across the Company to support their current and future supplier needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Negotiate with suppliers and Execute Procurement and Supplier Management processes to ensure we leverage buying power, optimize pricing, and manage suppler risk exposure.
• Provides Leadership and direction to business/service owners and suppliers on Procurement and Supplier Management practices.
• Manage competitive processes (RFx) that support supplier selection.
• Perform analysis on categories of spend to identify opportunities (e.g. process improvement, demand management, reduce unit costs, identify alternative products) to reduce total cost of ownership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Full time University Degree is mandatory
• 2-5 years of experience
• Superior negotiation skills are required to ensure appropriate terms and conditions are accepted into final master agreement contracts.
• Ability to effectively communicate key issues and business requirements to stakeholders.
• Enhanced oral and written communication skills to summarize complex issues into more simplistic terms for ease of understanding.
• Complete analysis on categories of spend to identify opportunities (e.g. process improvement, demand management, reduce unit costs, identify alternative products) to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Provide support to Business/service owners requesting RFx and contracts
• Acts as primary liaison between business owners and suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to foster collaboration with business owners, project teams and suppliers.
• Ability to find and propose unique solutions to difficult issues or approach process improvement within the business by introducing creative options
• Supplier consolidation, demand management, risk mitigation
