Job Description

Inventory Management:

Oversee the receipt, labeling, and storage of parts, and conduct regular physical counts or cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination:

Coordinate with suppliers to order necessary parts, negotiate for the best terms, and ensure timely delivery to prevent stockouts.

Stock Control:

Monitor stock levels, ensuring adequate quantities of parts are always available to meet the needs of the maintenance or service teams.

Distribution & Support:

Facilitate the distribution of parts to the relevant departments or customers, and provide expert advice on part selection when necessary.

Record Keeping:

Prepare and maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, part usage, and purchases using computerized systems or other logs.

Reporting:

Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and parts usage to inform decision-making and forecasting.

Store Organization:

Ensure the spare parts store or warehouse is clean, organized, and safe, adhering to proper handling and storage procedures.
