Receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming parts.
Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Procurement:
Ordering new stock from suppliers and ensuring timely delivery.
Negotiating prices and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Setting and enforcing policies for special and stock ordering of parts.
Sales and Customer Service:
Processing customer orders efficiently and accurately.
Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Developing and implementing sales strategies, including wholesale programs.
Team and Department Management:
Supervising and training parts department employees.
Working with other managers (e.g., service, body shop) to ensure parts availability for repairs.
Monitoring and managing the department's budget.
Required skills and qualifications
Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in computer systems, especially inventory management software.
Experience in financial management and data analysis.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of automotive parts and the industry is often preferred.
