Job Description

The Spare Parts Manager is responsible for planning, procurement, inventory control, and distribution of automobile spare parts to ensure smooth service operations, high parts availability, and cost optimization while maintaining OEM standards.

*Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Management

Manage end-to-end spare parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving parts.

Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain inventory accuracy in DMS/ERP systems.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Plan and place parts orders as per demand forecasting.

Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and vendors for timely delivery.

Track backorders, shortages, and emergency requirements.

Ensure compliance with OEM procurement policies.

Service & Workshop Support

Ensure timely availability of parts to service advisors and technicians.

Coordinate with workshop teams to reduce vehicle turnaround time (TAT).

Support warranty, insurance, and accident repair requirements.

Handle parts returns, claims, and warranty processes.

Cost Control & Profitability

Control inventory carrying costs and minimize obsolescence.

Improve parts fill rate and turnover ratio.

Monitor parts margins, discounts, and pricing as per OEM guidelines.

Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and profitability.

Team Management

Lead and train spares store staff.

Allocate duties and monitor performance.

Ensure adherence to safety and storage norms.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare MIS reports on:

Inventory levels

Aging analysis

Parts consumption

Loss & damage

Ensure compliance with OEM, audit, and statutory requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of automobile spare parts and after-sales operations

Expertise in inventory management and forecasting

Familiarity with DMS / ERP systems (SAP, CDK, Autoline, etc.)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Leadership and team management abilities

Good communication and vendor coordination skill

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?38,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
