We are now looking for a
Spare Parts Manager
to oversee the
Service Department's parts operations
at our Thottada location. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory management skills, hands-on dealership experience, and the ability to ensure seamless parts availability for both internal and retail customers.
Position Overview
The
Spare Parts Manager
will be responsible for managing the overall parts operations for the service workshop -- including procurement, storage, issuance, billing, and inventory control.
This position requires a proactive individual who can balance stock levels, coordinate effectively with the service team, and maintain strict process compliance with Mahindra's parts management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Parts Operations & Inventory Management
Manage day-to-day spare parts operations at the Thottada service location.
Ensure timely availability of spare parts, lubricants, and accessories to meet workshop job requirements.
Maintain optimal stock levels -- avoiding overstocking or shortages.
Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile physical vs. system stock.
Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving parts to improve stock efficiency.
Procurement & Coordination
Place parts orders with Mahindra and manage supplier follow-ups.
Coordinate with the
Service Manager
for demand forecasting based on job load and vehicle inflow.
Liaise with the
Service Head
and
Accounts Department
for purchase planning and billing accuracy.
Ensure adherence to Mahindra's parts policies, pricing, and claims procedures.
Customer Service & Retail Sales
Manage counter sales of spare parts and accessories for walk-in customers.
Ensure accurate and timely billing, pricing transparency, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain parts display and storage area in line with OEM standards.
Documentation & System Management
Update all transactions in DMS/ERP systems accurately and promptly.
Maintain detailed records of goods receipts, issues, and returns.
Monitor warranty parts and claims as per Mahindra's guidelines.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and performance reports.
Team Leadership & Discipline
Supervise the parts store team to ensure smooth functioning.
Enforce safety, cleanliness, and organization in the parts warehouse.
Ensure compliance with audit standards and process integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Automobile or Business Management.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience
in spare parts or inventory management within an automobile dealership (Mahindra experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of OEM parts systems, DMS operations, and stock control.
Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
