Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is looking to appoint a SP3D Designer (Process) to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Mumbai, India. Responsibilities: Directly performs work of designers and drafters, this work includes the preparation of 2D P&ID and PFD in SP3D application, study drawings, basic schematic drawings using 2D CAD software like AutoCAD and MicroStation. Proficient in Equipment data attributes development, System design, including concept sketches and PFD / P&ID. Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports Preparation or review of material quantity estimates from smart P&ID database. Reviews drawings, and vendor equipment documentation, both within the discipline as well as from other fields, for compliance with project requirements and actively seeks resolution. Proficient in Navisworks and Smart plant review capabilities, as required. Should be able to work independently and handle an area with team of designers/engineers. Interdisciplinary check of all Civil / Structural / Piping / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation drawings Provide guidance and mentorship to lower classification Process designers. Preparing P&ID and PFD using Hexagon Smart P&ID application. Review project parameters related to Process requirements. Required skills and experience: Engineering Graduate or Engineering Diploma or ITI with experience between 3 to 7 Years mainly for Industrial, Mining & Metallurgy, Chemical and Petrochemicals multidisciplinary of medium and large size projects. Thorough awareness of international codes and standards used for Mechanical and/or Process design in the industry. Shall be Capable of Producing SP3D Model Independently in coordination with other disciplines. Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes. Able to present / represent their technical work. Working knowledge of standard codes and EDMS (Electronic Data Management System). Familiar with planning, budgeting, and scheduling of basic drafting tasks in designated disciplines. Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations. An effective and reliable team member able to apply knowledge gained. Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost. Ensuring that drawings issued are in accordance with the agreed standards as required by the UK / ME region. Interface experience with project management team and senior engineers. Desirable skills and experience: Must be an advanced user of SP3D & Its equivalent tools for Plant Design with capabilities to federate individual discipline models, maintain and run clash related activities for discipline models. Must be able to use Smart Plant Review / Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams. Preparation of reports such as feasibility studies, method statements, specifications, design reports, schedules, construction drawings and bills of quantities. Required attributes: High performing ability to work and integrate into multi-disciplinary teams and work independently. Ensuring your work is to the highest appropriate standards and in compliance with Atkins quality systems and standards. Energetic and enthusiastic, with the desire to take on extra responsibilities and constantly upskilling team and oneself. Excellent written and spoken English communication within a business environment. You will demonstrate a high level of commitment, flexibility and be eager to accept responsibility and learn new skills, whilst always exercising an active interest in helping to solve problems faced by another team member.
