The Staff Canteen Cook is responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the staff at VGP Heritage. The cook will ensure that meals are prepared on time, to a high standard, and in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Meals:
Cook
30 breakfast plates
,
100 lunch plates
, and
60 dinner plates
daily.
Prepare a variety of South Indian and basic North Indian dishes (as per the menu).
Maintain Kitchen Hygiene:
Ensure cleanliness in the kitchen and follow food safety standards.
Store ingredients properly and manage waste effectively.
Manage Inventory:
Monitor daily food supplies and inform the supervisor of any shortages.
Assist in receiving and checking grocery deliveries.
Team Coordination:
Work with kitchen helpers and report any issues to the supervisor.
Ensure smooth and efficient meal preparation.
Skills & Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in cooking for large groups (preferably in a staff canteen or similar setting).
Knowledge of South Indian and basic North Indian dishes.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently to serve meals for large numbers of people.
Strong focus on kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
Salary:
?18,000 to ?20,000 per month
(depending on experience).
Work Schedule:
One weekly day off
(as per schedule).
Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the shifts.
