Key Responsibilities:
Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uttapam, Sambhar, Chutneys, and Upma
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control
Manage mise-en-place for daily kitchen operations
Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards as per FSSAI guidelines
Assist in menu planning and food cost control
Coordinate with kitchen team for smooth service operations
Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials
Monitor wastage and follow FIFO practices
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a South Indian Cook in a hotel or restaurant
Strong knowledge of South Indian breakfast and traditional recipes
Ability to work under pressure and during early morning shifts
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
Team player with a positive attitude
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience
Hotel Management or Culinary certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Working Conditions:
Shift-based duty (early morning shifts applicable)
Accommodation and food as per company policy
