We are looking for an experienced and skilled South Indian Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine and the ability to maintain quality, taste, and hygiene standards while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes such as Dosa, Idli, Vada, Uttapam, Sambhar, Chutneys, and other regional specialties
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food
Ensure proper food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in the kitchen
Manage daily kitchen operations and coordinate with kitchen staff
Monitor inventory levels and inform management for raw material ordering
Train and support junior kitchen staff when required
Assist in menu planning and special promotions
Minimize food wastage and ensure cost control
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or Dosa Master in a restaurant or cafe
Good knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and traditional recipes
Ability to work under pressure and handle peak hours
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Team player with a positive work attitude
Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not mandatory
