The All-Rounder Chef (South Indian Base) is responsible for preparing authentic South Indian cuisine while also handling a variety of Indian and basic continental dishes. The role requires versatility, consistency in food quality, and smooth kitchen operations with a strong focus on hygiene and teamwork.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Prepare South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambar, rasam, and chutneys
Handle basic North Indian gravies, snacks, and tandoor/continental dishes as required
Manage breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations efficiently
Ensure consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation
Perform mispen-place and daily food preparation
Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow FSSAI food safety standards
Control food wastage and manage raw material usage
Coordinate with service staff for timely order delivery
Assist in menu planning and kitchen inventory management
Handle kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance
Skills & Requirements:
Strong expertise in South Indian cuisine
Working knowledge of North Indian and multi-cuisine dishes
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Good time management and teamwork skills
Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety
Preferred Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred)
2-5 years of experience in hotels or restaurants
