Assist in the preparation and cooking of South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, curries, biryanis, poriyal, etc.
Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards set by the Head Chef.
Ensure mise en place is ready for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per HACCP / FSSAI standards.
Store ingredients properly and monitor freshness of spices, lentils, vegetables, and other South Indian staples.
Support senior chefs in menu planning, daily specials, and buffet setups.
Assist in controlling wastage and portion control.
Cooperate with team members and ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
Handle equipment carefully (wet grinder, dosa tawa, idli steamer, etc.).
Maintain consistency in taste, flavor, and presentation.
Follow safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
