Roles & Responsibilities:



Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uttapam, Appam, Pongal, Sambhar, Rasam, Chutneys, and specialty items. Manage the South Indian section independently during breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, presentation, and portion size of all dishes. Maintain proper mise en place and ensure timely preparation during peak hours. Handle batter preparation (dosa/idli), fermentation, and storage as per standards. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen section as per FSSAI norms. Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of ingredients like rice, lentils, spices, and fresh produce. Coordinate with the Head Chef/Sous Chef for menu planning and new dish development. Train and guide commis and junior cooks in South Indian cooking techniques. Manage wastage, control food cost, and follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements:



2-5 years of experience as a South Indian Chef or Cook. Strong knowledge of traditional and modern South Indian cuisine. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
