Job Description

Key Responsibilities :



Food Prep:

Chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, grinding masalas, and portioning ingredients for South Indian dishes.

Cooking Assistance:

Helping cook, plate, and garnish dishes like idli, dosa, sambar, curries, and biryanis.

Hygiene & Safety:

Maintaining clean workstations, following food safety (HACCP/FSSAI) and sanitation standards.

Mise en Place:

Organizing and stocking ingredients for the station.

Recipe Adherence:

Following established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.

Teamwork:

Supporting senior chefs (Chef de Partie, Sous Chef) and colleagues.

Inventory:

Monitoring ingredient stock and reporting shortages.

Skills & Experience Needed:



Experience:

Usually 0.5 to 1 year in a similar role (Commis or Cook).

Knowledge:

Basic understanding of South Indian ingredients, spices, and regional cooking methods.

Abilities:

Following instructions, working in a fast-paced environment, good attention to detail, and teamwork.

Pay: ₹11,108.98 - ₹18,000.00 per month
