We are seeking a talented and motivated

Sous Chef

to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command in the kitchen, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff supervision, inventory control, and maintaining high food safety standards. This is a leadership role suited for someone with a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient kitchen operation. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control. Enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen (HACCP, food safety regulations). Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies. Assist in creating menus and new dishes in collaboration with the Head Chef. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and work areas. Step in for the Head Chef in their absence.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef, or relevant role in a professional kitchen. Culinary degree or diploma preferred. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with (South, Indian, North, Continental and Tandoor) Certification in food safety and hygiene. Familiarity with kitchen management software is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Physically demanding role; must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects. Fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
