Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced
Sous Chef (Continental Section)
to join our culinary team. The candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, creativity in menu execution, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing staff in the Continental section.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing a variety of Continental dishes (starters, mains, sauces, breads, desserts).
Supervise and train CDPs, DCDPs, and Commis in the section.
Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes as per restaurant standards.
Maintain high levels of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety in the kitchen.
Control inventory, manage portioning, and minimize wastage.
Support menu planning, costing, and innovation for new dishes.
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth order flow.
Step in to lead the section during Head Chef's absence.
Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Continental cuisine (including exposure to grills, pastas, sauces, breads, and plated presentations).
Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen hygiene protocols.
Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume service.
Culinary degree/diploma preferred.
