Position Overview:
As a Sous Chef, you will be the backbone of our culinary operations, assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen activities, supervising staff, maintaining high food quality, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will play a vital role in menu creation, food presentation, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure training, discipline, and motivation.
Maintain consistency and quality of food preparation and presentation.
Monitor inventory, food cost, and kitchen supplies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Support in creating seasonal menus and innovative dishes.
Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
Proven experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a reputed property.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, international and Indian cuisines.
Ability to manage and train a team under pressure.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred.
