Position Overview:
We're looking for an experienced
Sous Chef
to work directly under the Head Chef and help manage our small kitchen team. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to maintain quality and speed during service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Maintain food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Oversee inventory, mise-en-place, and daily prep schedules.
Step in to cook during peak hours or when required.
Train and support junior team members.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Asian kitchen (Chinese/Thai/Asian fusion preferred).
Strong communication skills --
must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Leadership skills and ability to manage a small team effectively.
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
A positive attitude, reliability, and passion for cooking.
