Job Title- Sous Chef

Job Location- Malviya Nagar, New Delhi

Job Summary

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, and presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, assisting in menu development, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment. The Sous Chef acts as second-in-command in the kitchen and takes charge during the Executive Chef's absence.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing menus. Supervise daily food preparation and oversee cooking processes. Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas. Train, guide, and support kitchen staff. Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate ordering. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. Monitor portion control and minimize food waste. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service. Handle kitchen issues, resolve operational problems, and support staff during peak hours. Assist in scheduling and delegating tasks to kitchen staff. Contribute to recipe development and cost control.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations. Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Creativity and passion for high-quality food. Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Culinary degree or professional training preferred. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
