Sourcing & Manufacturing Development - Medical Instruments
We are looking for a
resourceful and well-connected professional
who can assist in
sourcing high-quality medical-grade raw materials
and support in
developing manufacturing processes
for precision medical instruments such as
needles, knives, and blades
.
Role Overview
:
The ideal candidate will have direct access to, or strong connections with, suppliers or manufacturers dealing in
medical-grade stainless steel, titanium, and other specialized alloys
used in the medical device industry. In addition, the candidate should have a sound understanding of
manufacturing techniques and processes
related to precision instruments.
Responsibilities
:
Identify and source
high-quality medical-grade raw materials
(metal sheets, rods, tubes, etc.) suitable for surgical applications.
Coordinate with vendors, mills, and manufacturers to ensure compliance with
medical-grade quality standards
.
Provide technical insights and assist in developing or improving
manufacturing processes
for needles, knives, and blades.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, production methods, and quality certifications.
Collaborate with internal design and production teams to ensure optimal material selection and process efficiency.
Requirements
:
Strong background or connections in
metal sourcing, metallurgy, or the medical device industry
.
In-depth understanding of
manufacturing processes
like precision grinding, machining, heat treatment, and finishing.
Knowledge of
medical-grade standards
(e.g., ASTM, ISO) is preferred.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.
