We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Mumbai, India

Job Purpose:

Implement best local / sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure identify and recommend \xc2\xb4best in class\xe2\x80\x99 suppliers and maintain good relationships with stakeholders. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level.

Category Management roles specialize in strategic sourcing of transportation, ground fleet and other generic goods & services, in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope. Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research/ intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of global/regional/local frame contracts. Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is key.

Your tasks:

• Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts. Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is a key
• Integrate Procurement services at country level for the business colleagues are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Specialize in strategic sourcing of transportation, ground fleet and other generic goods & services, in order to reduce costs and ensure quality of supply as needed by the business/function in scope
• Support business with detecting the right suppliers for driving forward innovation
• Support with supplier risk assessment and evaluating suppliers based on sustainability KPIs
• Prepare and support supplier negotiations at local level with more senior colleagues
• Prepare, conduct and support tenders (incl. e-sourcing) with more senior sourcing colleagues
• Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local divisional colleagues
• Establish close contact with local business units to ensure actual and future knowledge of demand and service quality
• Ensure effective implementation of DPDHL Procurement contracts
• Improving compliance spend for the countries.

Your profile:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• 7 years of relevant experience preferably in Procurement environment
• Understanding of and working experience with procurement practices and procedures and commercial law, preferably category specific
• Sourcing experience in transportation and ground Fleet, various type of capex and opex related spend etc.
• Business partnering skill
• Proven experience in leading negotiations of mid/large volume, high impact and with different degrees of complexity.
• Must have worked on sourcing platform/tools and conversant with use of technology in RFI, RFQ, contract management, etc.
• Manage larger complexity of contracts and new contract types (e.g. with startups)
• Deep understanding of the regional business as well as market and trends of the specific categories
• Supplier Management & Supplier Market Knowledge
