Reports to Global Head of Capital and Engineering Procurement.

Job purpose:

- Source Industrial Products which includes Pharmaceutical Formulation plant equipment, packages with complex technicalities.

- The Sourcing Manager implements sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the assigned portfolio and associated activities. An important aspect of this role is maximizing supplier performance and supporting the company\'s Capital expenditure plan.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible to use his/her knowledge of Pharmaceutical Formulation Equipment. and associated products for sourcing and procurement of these to meet the capital expenditure plans.

- Responsible for end to end management, source to pay, of all capital procurement activities for US plant.

- Dealing with international suppliers.

- Identify the user needs, market search, develop and get the alternate sources approved in alignment with the users. Enhance vendor base for all areas. Bring in reduction in acquisition costs of capital items, reduce lead time of sourcing the capital items. Perform cost analysis of materials and implement cost reduction initiatives.

- Vendor evaluation , appraisal and development. Relationship management with key suppliers.

- Benchmarking of costs , Industry analysis , introduction on new technologies.

- Receive and Review all purchase requisitions.

- Prepare procurement plan in alignment with user and adhere to the same.

- Generate formal Requests for Information/Quotes/Proposals and template. Getting vendor information.

- Uploading vender information on system.

- Implement productivity tools and knowledge base data sharing systems.

- Send RFQ\'s/RFI\'s , obtain quotations and negotiate with vendors on lead time, pricing, commercial terms.

- Create purchasing order, Raise PO\'s and actively follow up with vendors for deliveries. Follow up with the suppliers via phone or email on the status of orders placed. Respond to queries from Suppliers

- Revise Purchase Orders for price change, quantity or Delivery Date.

- Work on PO Cancellation if required.

- Provide status on Purchase Order to the Operation teams.

- Generate reports for weekly and monthly dashboards. Prepare documentation and periodic reports for management review..

- Travelling may be required to suppliers\' places for various purposes.

Qualifications :

- Graduate Engineer in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Pharmaceutical engineering

- Sound experience in dealing with suppliers in India as well as international , for all types of Pharmaceutical machineries.

Must be :

- Experience in sourcing and procurement of capital items for Pharmaceutical Formulation plants procurement.

- Should have sound exposure to vendor base of Pharmaceutical machinery suppliers for Formulation plants in US.

- Should be adept in value engineering , calculating Total cost of ownership .

- Should have excellent negotiation , interpersonal and communication skills.

- Should be able to manage work independently without any special support.

- Well versed in working on ERP.
