Negotiation:
Secure advantageous terms, prices, and delivery schedules from external vendors through skilled negotiation.
Financial management:
Manage procurement budgets and track spending to control costs and identify areas for long-term savings.
Risk management:
Analyze data and prepare control strategies for potential risks within supply contracts and agreements.
Process oversight:
Approve purchase orders, finalize order details, and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Performance tracking:
Track and report on key functional metrics to improve effectiveness and control spending.
Team leadership:
Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of staff, such as buyers or procurement officers.
Required skills and qualifications
Education:
A bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, finance, or a related field is typically required.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in procurement, operations, or a similar field.
Analytical skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify opportunities, and manage risks.
Negotiation skills:
