You will help oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their duties to ensure smooth workflow and service.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate in ordering and receiving supplies.
Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff.
Support in menu development and cost control initiatives.
Step in and manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or Sous Chef role.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Creativity and passion for food, with a keen sense of taste and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
