Job Summary

The SOP Content Writer is responsible for transforming a student's academic and professional journey into a compelling narrative. You will collaborate with students and counselors to highlight unique selling points that align with specific university requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Narrative Development:

Craft original, well-structured SOP's (500-1000 words) that cover academic history, motivations, and future career goals.

Customization:

Research university programs, faculty, and research labs to tailor each document to specific institutional values.

Interviewing:

Conduct discovery sessions with students to extract "hooks"--personal anecdotes or life events that sparked their interest in a field.

Strategic Positioning:

Address sensitive profile issues, such as gap years or lower GPA, by framing them as learning opportunities.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all content is 100% plagiarism-free, adheres to formal yet engaging tones, and has zero AI content percentage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Writing Excellence:

Strong command of English with the ability to write in a lucid, coherent, and sophisticated yet accessible style.

Research Skills:

Ability to analyze global education trends and university-specific curricula.

Empathy & Storytelling:

Skill in identifying a student's "voice" to make the essay sound authentic rather than generic.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with style guides (e.g., APA, MLA) and plagiarism detection tools.

Education:

Typically a degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or a related field; prior experience in study-abroad consulting is highly preferred.
