Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sonologist/Radiologist responsible for performing and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging scans. The candidate should be proficient in routine and emergency ultrasound procedures, Doppler studies, pregnancy-related scans, and X-ray reporting for both OPD and IPD patients.

Key Responsibilities:1. Ultrasound / Sonography

Perform and interpret all types of routine ultrasound scans. Conduct pregnancy-related scans including early pregnancy, anomaly, growth, and obstetric assessments. Perform Doppler studies (Arterial, Venous, Obstetric, Renal, etc.). Handle emergency ultrasound scans for both OPD and IPD as required. Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of findings. Maintain high standards of patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.

2. X-Ray Reporting

Interpret and report X-rays for OPD and IPD cases. Ensure accurate, timely, and clinically relevant radiological reports. Collaborate with physicians and medical staff for patient diagnosis and management based on imaging results.

3. Patient Care & Communication

Explain procedures clearly to patients and address their concerns. Ensure proper imaging quality while maintaining patient safety protocols. Maintain ethical standards and follow hospital/clinic protocols.

4. Administrative & Technical Duties

Maintain proper records of scans and reports. Coordinate with the technical team for machine calibration, maintenance, and safety checks. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

MBBS with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiology / Sonology (e.g., MD, DMRD, DNB). Valid registration and certification as per local medical council requirements. Proven experience in ultrasound, Doppler studies, pregnancy scans, and X-ray reporting. Ability to manage emergency cases efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Experience required minimum 2 to 3 yrs
