Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution/Software Architect to spearhead our development team. This individual will be responsible for crafting robust, secure, and scalable software solutions that align with project needs. The role involves engaging with clients to ascertain their requirements, formulating comprehensive solution strategies, and guiding software engineers through the development of refined end products. Success in this position requires exceptional problem-solving abilities and a profound grasp of diverse software technologies and platforms.

Core Responsibilities

Conceptualize, develop, and implement software solutions to address business challenges. Provide technical leadership and architectural blueprints. Assess and recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and processes to ensure a top-quality product platform. Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance teams, and end-users to deliver cutting-edge software solutions. Translate business requirements into clear articulations of the business needs to be met. Efficiently and swiftly troubleshoot code-level issues. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments. Participate in pre-sales activities. Prepare and maintain clear, detailed, and relevant documentation for proposed architectural designs. Lead the integration of cybersecurity principles throughout all phases of web solution development, ensuring "secure by design" systems. Evaluate, identify, and mitigate risks across web applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Remain current on emerging threats and technologies, offering recommendations to enhance architecture and security posture. Establish and enforce standards for secure coding, architecture reviews, and threat modeling for all web-based projects.

Qualifications

8-12 years of total experience, with at least 4 years specifically as a Solution/Software Architect. Exceptional technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting capabilities. Strong leadership and organizational acumen. Aptitude for building professional relationships with staff. Outstanding communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Practical experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Nginx/Apache. Proficiency in web technologies: JavaScript, Node.js, Python, PHP, or comparable backend and frontend frameworks. Hands-on experience in designing highly scalable applications based on microservices. DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, SonarQube (preferable but not mandatory), Docker.

Additional Valued Skills

Solid understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Cybersecurity knowledge is a prerequisite. Familiarity with DNS, BGP, CEPH/GlusterFS, and Linux Kernel Settings would be advantageous. Extensive experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable web solutions, including cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Practical experience with web application security, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, and secure SDLC methodologies. Profound understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability mitigation techniques. Expertise in cloud security, network security, and application security assessments.
