About the Role:

The Solution Architect is intended to provide architecture and solution design leadership to our product and development teams internally as well as in client projects. The role requires the ability to understand business problems, evaluate possible solutions and design the solution with recommendations that keep in mind cost and time to market considerations for the business. We are engaged from pre-project kickoff through successful implementation into production. The position requires strong communication in order to furnish mutual understanding across both business and technical focused teams.

Key areas include:

Must be able to articulate the objectives and drivers which define the solution vision and translate the strategic business requirements and architecture vision into a solution design that supports implementation of an integrated solution into our platform. Direct the discussion to define the overall technical architecture solution for a given client implementation; involves working with various stakeholders to understand the business, technical and other non-functional requirements in activities including but not limited to: Develop Infrastructure integration architecture, application integration architecture, data integration architecture, and/or business process architecture for the solution. Articulate, document and 'own' the solution architecture. Solution architecture may include understanding the key business process flows, and developing corresponding system process flows down to physical transaction/data flows for a solution. Support sales initiatives by driving overall technical architecture design discussion within the Enterprise Solution Delivery framework. Act as consultant as well as provide support during the implementation; such as answering architecture related questions, helping to mitigate risk, resolve issues, review/approve/update with regard to key design changes for augmentation or enhancement of the Solution Architecture. Ability to effectively work within a team environment. Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a solutions architect or similar architecture roles in enterprise settings. 5+ years of experience in the financial industry. 3+ years of experience as an application architect or development lead. 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and/or implementing large scale distributed solutions. Broad knowledge of information technology standards and trends. Fluency in middleware including but not limited to MOM, ETL, Distributed Cache Fluency in data management and persistence standards Fluency in information security including identity and access management. Fluency in application and platform monitoring and management. Fluency in development platforms including but not limited to .NET. Experience with batch, real-time, and distributed processing.

Job Related Experience:

Software Development leadership experience in portfolio management, trading, or performance management systems preferred. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. * Broad knowledge of information technology, software development principles, and emerging technologies.
