Job Description

The Soldering Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, repairing, and inspecting electronic components using precise soldering techniques. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a thorough knowledge of soldering tools, materials, and processes. The operator ensures that all soldered joints meet strict quality, durability, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform soldering tasks to attach components and wires to printed circuit boards (PCBs), connectors, and other electronic assemblies. Inspect solder joints for quality, ensuring proper strength, durability, and compliance with standards, avoiding defects such as cold joints or solder bridges. Accurately position and orient components on circuit boards before soldering, following assembly instructions and schematics. Conduct rework and repairs on defective components or connections as required. Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace. Document completed work, noting any issues and corrective actions in line with company reporting procedures. Clean, calibrate, and maintain soldering equipment regularly to ensure consistent performance.

Requirements:

Prior experience in soldering, especially in electronics or PCB assembly. (Atleast 2 years) Proficiency in handling soldering tools and equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
