Job Description

1. Excellent knowledge of Solaris
2. Troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis of issues on major Solaris flavors
3. Experience in Remote server management tools
4. Good exposure on scripting knowledge (shell and Perl)
5. Strong knowledge on user management and server adm inistration
6. Operating Systems (OS) installation, systems management, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and version upgrades on Solaris
7. Assist in the setting of system standards for base implementation (including limit values, volume and file system management, service configurations, etc.)
8. Create and Configure VIO, NIM servers for LPAR management also assist with Half yearly/yearly server patching activity
9. Thorough understanding of the following technologies as they apply to Systems Administration and architecture: software and hardware load-balancing, clusters, RAID and Server architecture
10. Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency
11. Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. - include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
