Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Input Analysis & Coordination

• Review inputs from site surveys, design/engineering, and sales/pre-sales teams.
• Understand project capacity, layout, structure type, and electrical scope (DC/AC split, evacuation).
• Coordinate and resolve any missing or unclear project details.

BOQ & BOM Preparation

• Prepare detailed, project-specific BOQ/BOM covering solar modules, inverters, MMS structures, DC/AC cables, SCBs, ACDBs, LT panels, junction boxes, connectors, earthing/lightning protection, fasteners, conduits, trays, and accessories.
• Ensure precise quantity estimation to prevent material shortages or excess.
• Maintain tailored BOQ/BOM formats for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Estimation & Costing

• Develop cost estimates based on approved BOQ/BOM, vendor lists, and industry benchmarks.
• Provide sales/pre-sales teams with cost breakdowns, budgetary quotes, tender BOQs, and pricing formats.
• Identify and flag potential cost deviations early in the project lifecycle.

Procurement & Execution Support

• Share finalized BOQ/BOM with procurement teams.
• Assist in vendor quote validation, material comparisons, and resolving shortages/excess during execution.
• Track planned vs. actual material consumption and manage minor scope changes effectively.

Standardization & Documentation

• Develop and maintain standard BOQ/BOM templates and material benchmarks (Watt/MW-wise).
• Archive historical project data for cost analysis, process improvement, and future project planning.

Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in BOQ/BOM preparation for solar EPC projects and solar material specifications/ratings.
• Knowledge of rooftop and ground-mount solar components, including DC/AC segregation.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for costing; familiarity with ERP/procurement tools. (AutoCAD/PV software not mandatory.)

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Renewable Energy.
