Job Overview
The Solar Sales Executive is responsible for engaging with qualified leads provided by the company, conducting consultative sales meetings, understanding client requirements, preparing customised solar proposals, and converting opportunities into profitable business. The role requires strong communication, technical understanding of solar systems, and seamless coordination with engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Handling & Pre-Sales Preparation
Work on leads assigned by the company through inbound channels, marketing, or partnerships.
Review client details, electricity consumption patterns, and roof/space availability shared by the internal team.
Prepare thoroughly by analyzing the client's needs and expected ROI.
2. Sales Meetings & Requirement Understanding
Conduct structured sales meetings (online/offline) to understand the client's energy challenges.
Recommend suitable on-grid/off-grid/hybrid solar solutions.
Collect and verify essential technical parameters such as roof area, connected load, sanctioned load, and DG synchronization (if needed) requirements.
Build trust and position the company as a reliable and value-driven solar partner.
3. Proposal Development & Presentation
Create customized proposals based on client inputs and site conditions.
Coordinate with engineering/pre-sales teams for feasibility reports, energy generation estimates, and financial calculations (ROI, payback).
Present proposals clearly, explaining commercial and technical aspects in simple language.
4. Sales Conversion & Follow-Up
Negotiate mutually beneficial deals within approved pricing guidelines.
Maintain disciplined follow-ups to ensure smooth progression from proposal to order confirmation.
5. Client Coordination & Project Handover
Draft professional emails, document discussions, and maintain transparency.
Act as the single point of contact between the client and internal teams (engineering, operations, documentation).
Assist clients with net-metering documentation wherever required.
Ensure customer satisfaction, manage expectations throughout the installation cycle, and collect testimonials post-completion.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Excellent communication in English & Hindi
Strong persuasion, negotiation, and rapport-building abilities
Ability to simplify technical solar concepts for clients
Active listening, questioning, and presentation skills
Understanding of solar systems: on-grid, off-grid, hybrid
Ability to read electricity bills (tariff slabs, units, sanctioned load)
Awareness of roof types, shadow analysis, and basic site feasibility
Understanding of ROI, payback period, and commercial calculations
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience using CRM and managing sales pipelines
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline (Engineering, Business, or Science preferred)
Prior experience in solar/B2B solution sales is an advantage

Fixed salary commensurate with experience
