Job Summary:

The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing solar power projects from initiation to commissioning. The role involves project planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordination with cross-functional teams, vendor management, and ensuring successful project delivery within defined time, cost, and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the overall planning and execution of solar (rooftop or ground-mounted) projects. Develop detailed project execution plans including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Coordinate between design, procurement, execution, and quality assurance teams. Review and approve project drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation. Supervise site activities -- installation, testing, and commissioning. Manage contractors, vendors, and internal site teams to ensure timely completion. Ensure compliance with technical specifications, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), and quality standards. Track project progress and prepare weekly/monthly reports for management. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Conduct review meetings with internal stakeholders and clients. Handle project billing, documentation, and handover to the O&M team. Liaise with local authorities, DISCOMs, and government agencies for project approvals and inspections.

Required Skills & Competencies:

In-depth understanding of solar PV systems, electrical installations, and project life cycles. Strong project management and leadership abilities. Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve technical and operational challenges. Strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
