Create accurate and optimised solar PV system designs using OpenSolar (experience preferred).
Prepare detailed layout drawings, roof measurements, system sizing, string calculations, and yield estimations.
Develop technical proposals, BOQs, and customer-ready documentation based on UK installation standards.
Review project feasibility using satellite imagery, roof data, and structural considerations.
Coordinate with the UK team for design revisions, project approvals, and technical clarifications.
Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Maintain project records, version control, and timely completion of design tasks.
Shift hours as per UK timezone.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
1-3 years of experience in solar PV system design (preferred).
Hands-on experience with OpenSolar is highly beneficial & necessary training will be provided if the potential employee is highly motivated
Strong understanding of solar components (panels, inverters, mounting systems, etc.)
Ability to calculate system performance, shading, loads, and energy output.
Good communication skills, ability to work with remote teams & very fluent in English.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
