Assist in the design and modeling of solar photovoltaic systems using software tools such as PVsyst and AutoCAD
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate solar potential and project viability
Support the preparation of engineering reports and technical documentation for solar installations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
Participate in field inspections and testing of solar systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to solar energy
Required and Preferred Qualifications
a) Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
Internship or co-op experience in renewable energy or engineering projects
Basic understanding of solar technology and energy systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software
b) Preferred:
Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope)
Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to solar energy
Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
Understanding of electrical circuits and principles related to photovoltaic systems
Familiarity with energy modeling and simulation software
Basic knowledge of battery storage systems and their integration with solar technology
