Solar Procurement Executive -

Position Overview

The Solar Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for solar energy projects. This role ensures timely sourcing of equipment, materials, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, and BOS (Balance of System) components. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors. Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and long-term partnerships.

Procurement Operations

Develop procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets. Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage logistics for solar equipment. Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Cost & Risk Management

Conduct market analysis to benchmark prices and identify cost-saving opportunities. Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuations, and import/export regulations. Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and finance departments. Support project execution by ensuring timely availability of materials. Coordinate with legal teams for contract compliance and dispute resolution.

Sustainability & Compliance

Ensure procurement practices align with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals. Stay updated on renewable energy policies, import duties, and government incentives. Maintain documentation for audits and certifications.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 3-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in renewable energy or power sector. Strong knowledge of solar technology components and industry standards. Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
Skills & Competencies

Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics. Commitment to sustainability and renewable energy growth.
Location & Travel

Based at corporate office or project site (depending on company structure). Willingness to travel for supplier visits, project sites, and industry even
