Position Summary:
ACVPL is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a
Solar Power Plant Operations & Client Relationship Manager
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the solar industry, specifically solar power plant operations, power sales, and client management. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage day-to-day operations, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and ensure smooth functioning of the plant and client communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Solar Power Plant Operations & Management:
Oversee daily operations of the solar power plant, ensuring that all plant functions are running efficiently.
Collaborate with the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team to ensure that the plant is maintained at optimal performance levels.
Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and environmental regulations.
Focus on minimizing losses related to plant operations by actively managing scheduling and forecasting.
Billing & Open Access Management:
Knowledge and experience in billing related to long-term, short-term, and medium-term open access power sales.
Ensure accurate billing and track any discrepancies in the open access power sale transactions.
Manage and ensure compliance with policies related to power sales, DSM/Penalties to power plants by UPSLDC/UPPTCL.
Client Relationship Management:
Maintain strong and active communication with clients to understand their power requirements and provide solutions accordingly.
Regularly update clients on the scheduled power supply and any changes to power delivery.
Address client concerns and queries promptly, ensuring their satisfaction with the service.
Develop strategies to enhance customer relationships and contribute to business growth.
Power Sale Management:
Efficiently manage power sales to minimize losses, including the diversion of excess power to consumers or other sales channels.
Work closely with the scheduling and forecasting teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of power.
Monitor and report on the financial aspects of power sales, ensuring profitability.
Policy and Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up to date with policies related to solar power plants, including LTOA, STOA, MTOA, and any other regulations specific to group captive or captive solar power plants.
Liaise with UPPTCL, UPSLDC, Discom, and other relevant agencies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the penalties and DSM policies related to the plant and its operations.
Team Collaboration & Reporting:
Lead the overall activity related to power sales and plant maintenance, ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and clients.
Work with internal stakeholders to monitor power generation, loss minimization, and energy efficiency.
Prepare and present regular reports on plant operations, power sales, and client engagement to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the solar industry, specifically in solar power plants, operations, and open access power sales.
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of solar power plant operations, power scheduling, forecasting, and maintenance.
Billing Expertise:
Experience in managing billing processes for long-term, short-term, and medium-term open access power.
Client Management:
Strong background in client relationship management, understanding client requirements, and delivering tailored solutions.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with power plant policies, DSM/Penalties, and relevant regulations (LTOA, STOA, MTOA).
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
