Job Description

Sunce Renewables is looking for a Solar Plant Design Engineer to design and optimize

rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. The candidate will be responsible for

system sizing, layout preparation, BOQ creation, energy calculations, and ensuring

compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility/technical assessment reports.

- Design solar PV systems using AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, etc.

- Prepare SLDs, array layouts, stringing diagrams, cable sizing, and earthing/protection

design.

- Perform energy yield simulations and shading analysis.

- Prepare BOQ/BOM, datasheets, and complete project documentation.

- Ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards and DISCOM/net-metering guidelines.

- Coordinate with procurement and project execution teams for design clarifications.

- Review vendor technical documents and support installation/commissioning teams.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of solar PV system design.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV design software.

- Understanding of electrical standards and protection systems.

- Good analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Preferred:

- Experience in rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects.

- Knowledge of inverters, LT/HT panels, string sizing, and protection devices.
