Solar Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Technician - Rooftop Solar Projects

Location:

Multiple sites across

Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

Job Summary:

The technician will be responsible for the

operation, preventive and corrective maintenance

of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This includes ensuring optimal system performance, conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

routine inspections

and

preventive maintenance

of rooftop solar PV systems. Clean solar panels and ensure

maximum energy output

. Diagnose and repair faults in inverters, wiring, and other system components. Monitor system performance using remote monitoring tools and on-site checks. Maintain detailed

service logs and reports

for each site. Ensure compliance with

electrical safety standards

and company protocols. Coordinate with site managers and clients for maintenance schedules. Respond to

emergency breakdowns

and restore system functionality promptly.

Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in

Electrical

,

Electronics

, or

Renewable Energy

. Minimum

1-3 years

of experience in solar PV maintenance. Familiarity with

AC/DC wiring

, inverter systems, and rooftop safety protocols.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of

solar PV technology

and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret

technical drawings and schematics

. Hands-on experience with

tools and testing equipment

. Good communication and reporting skills. Willingness to travel between sites in Kanpur.
