Job Summary



We are looking for a technically skilled

Solar Data & Systems Engineer

to manage and integrate data from solar power plants using inverters, data loggers, and IoT devices. The role involves working closely with inverter-level data, communication protocols, and centralized data systems to ensure accurate monitoring, analysis, and performance tracking across multiple solar sites.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Solar Hardware & Systems



Work with

solar inverters, data loggers, and IoT devices

deployed in solar power plants. Understand and analyze

inverter-level data

, including: Energy generation Performance ratios (PR) System errors and faults Support troubleshooting and diagnostics of inverter and communication-related issues. Coordinate with OEMs and field teams for hardware and system integration.

2. Data Communication & Protocols



Integrate inverter and plant data using industry-standard communication protocols such as:

REST APIs

MQTT

FTP / SFTP

Ensure reliable and secure data transmission from plant-level devices to centralized systems. Monitor data flow and resolve communication failures or data gaps.

3. Data Management & Processing



Handle

data fetching, parsing, validation, and storage

for multiple solar sites. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting and analytics. Support dashboards, monitoring tools, and performance reporting systems. Maintain documentation related to data architecture, protocols, and integrations.

4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization



Assist in analyzing plant performance trends and identifying underperforming assets. Support automation and optimization initiatives related to plant monitoring. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve data reliability and system efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in

Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer Science)

or related field. Strong understanding of

solar power plant components

, especially inverters and data loggers. Hands-on experience with

REST APIs, MQTT, FTP/SFTP

. Knowledge of data handling, validation, and storage concepts. Familiarity with IoT systems and remote monitoring solutions. Basic understanding of databases and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML). Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills



Experience working with

SCADA or solar monitoring platforms

. Knowledge of cloud-based data systems. Exposure to performance analysis and reporting tools. Prior experience in the

renewable energy or solar industry
