Roles and Responsibilities of a Solar Course Trainer
Primary Role:
To educate and train students or professionals on solar energy systems, including design, installation, maintenance, and safety practices, ensuring they are industry-ready and certified.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Conduct theoretical and practical sessions on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar thermal systems, and hybrid technologies.Deliver content aligned with national skill development standards (e.g., NSDC, MNRE guidelines).
Hands-on Training:
Guide trainees in assembling, installing, and troubleshooting solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other components.Supervise lab sessions and field visits to solar installations.
Content Development:
Prepare lesson plans, training materials, manuals, and assessments.Update course content regularly to reflect the latest industry trends and technologies.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Design and administer tests, practical evaluations, and project work.Provide constructive feedback and maintain performance records.
Industry Engagement:
Coordinate with solar companies for guest lectures, internships, or placement opportunities.Stay updated with industry certifications and standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Instruct trainees on safety protocols and regulatory compliance in solar installations.Ensure adherence to environmental and electrical safety norms.
Mentorship & Support:
Offer career guidance and mentorship to trainees.Address queries and provide additional support for slow learners.
Educational Qualification for Solar Course Trainer
Minimum Requirement:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Systems, or Sustainable Technology.Certification in Solar PV Installation, Solar Design, or Solar Technician Training from recognized bodies (e.g., MNRE, NISE, Skill India, NABCEP).
Additional Desirable Credentials:
Training experience or teaching certification. Familiarity with national and international solar standards and codes.Hands-on experience with solar system design, installation, and maintenance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 3 weeks
Pay: ₹11,898.03 - ₹56,741.40 per month
Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
