The Solar Installation Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and managing on-site solar installation activities for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. The role ensures that projects are executed safely, completed on time, and meet defined technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage daily solar installation activities at project sites
Coordinate with survey, engineering, procurement, and installation teams
Ensure correct installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, cables, batteries, and earthing systems
Verify electrical connections and installations as per approved drawings, SLDs, and technical standards
Monitor workmanship quality and ensure adherence to safety guidelines and PPE usage
Conduct system testing, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting
Ensure availability and proper use of tools, materials, and safety equipment
Maintain site documentation including installation checklists, daily progress reports, and material records
Coordinate customer handover and explain basic system operation and maintenance
Support maintenance and service activities when required
Collect site photographs, installation evidence, and customer feedback
Submit daily team reports and progress updates to management
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid)
Good understanding of electrical wiring, inverters, batteries, earthing, and protection systems
Ability to read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and layout drawings
Strong team supervision and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of site safety standards and best practices
Qualifications
ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy
Solar installation certification will be an added advantage
Experience
1-3 years of experience as a Solar Installation Supervisor or Senior Solar Installer
Hands-on experience in end-to-end solar project execution
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
