A Solar Engineer is responsible for Site survey, designing, implementing, and maintaining solar energy systems for residential, commercial, or industrial use. This role involves technical expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices, ensuring systems are safe, reliable, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering:
Design and plan solar PV systems based on site assessments and customer requirements.
Project Management:
Oversee installation projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors, electricians, and construction teams during implementation.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
System Analysis & Optimization:
Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and shading analysis.
Analyze and optimize system performance, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Perform regular system monitoring and maintenance planning.
Compliance & Documentation:
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for permitting and inspections.
Stay updated with renewable energy policies, incentives, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in solar energy or renewable energy engineering.
Strong knowledge of PV systems, grid-tied and off-grid systems, batteries, and inverters.
