Solar Engineer - CivilPosition Overview

We are seeking a qualified Solar Engineer with civil engineering expertise to join our renewable energy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and execution of ground-mounted and rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, with a focus on civil and structural aspects of solar installations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering

Design civil and structural components for utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar PV projects including foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and site grading plans Perform structural calculations for solar module mounting systems, racking structures, and support foundations Conduct geotechnical assessments and coordinate soil testing to determine appropriate foundation designs Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for civil works Design stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for solar sites
Project Planning & Execution

Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for solar project development Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders for integrated project delivery Prepare technical reports, method statements, and construction drawings Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Construction Support

Provide on-site technical support during construction phases Monitor construction quality and adherence to design specifications Resolve design-related issues and provide timely engineering solutions Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports Coordinate with contractors for successful project commissioning
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy or solar projects Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?700,000.00 - ?750,000.00 per year
