Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, preparing detailed engineering drawings, optimizing layouts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. The role involves close coordination with project managers, site teams, and clients to deliver efficient and cost-effective solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, or utility-scale) using relevant software. Prepare detailed drawings: site layout, SLDs (single line diagrams), cable routing, earthing & lightning protection, etc. Conduct solar resource assessment and energy yield simulations using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar. Perform technical feasibility studies, load calculations, and system sizing. Optimize system design considering efficiency, cost, safety, and maintainability. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (IEC, IS, NEC, MNRE, DISCOM, etc.). Coordinate with procurement, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure design accuracy and practicality. Prepare engineering documentation including BOQ, datasheets, technical specifications, and reports. Support tender preparation, technical proposals, and client presentations. Conduct site visits for surveys, assessments, and quality checks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering field. 2-5 years of experience in solar PV system design (rooftop/ground-mounted/utility-scale). Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, and MS Office. Knowledge of electrical design tools (ETAP, Dialux, or similar) is an advantage. Strong understanding of PV modules, inverters, structures, and BOS (Balance of System) components. Familiarity with relevant standards, codes, and grid interconnection requirements. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in both rooftop and utility-scale solar projects. Knowledge of hybrid solar + storage systems. Certification in solar PV design or renewable energy will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
