We are looking for a detail-oriented and diligent Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The Tester will be responsible for ensuring that software applications meet the required standards and specifications before they are released. The role involves executing various tests, identifying defects, and working with developers to ensure a high-quality product.
We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in both automation and manual testing. Ideal candidates should be well-versed in testing tools, scripting, and have a solid understanding of QA processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Case Development:
Design, document, and execute test cases based on software requirements and functional specifications.
Manual Testing:
Perform manual testing of software applications, identifying defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in functionality.
Automation Testing:
Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or other automation frameworks.
Bug Reporting:
Accurately document defects and issues in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira), ensuring that detailed steps for reproduction are provided.
Regression Testing:
Conduct regression testing to verify that defects have been fixed and ensure no new issues are introduced.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
Work with end-users to conduct UAT, ensuring that the application meets business requirements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the development cycle.
Test Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test results, and issue logs.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of the testing process.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Experience with manual and/or automated testing.
Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL) is a plus.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies and defects.
Problem-Solving:
Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills for documenting and explaining test results and defects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in a software testing or quality assurance role is a plus.
Automation Testing Tools:
Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, LoadRunner).
Certifications:
ISTQB certification or similar testing qualifications are advantageous.
