Software Technologist - DevOps

We are seeking an experienced

DevOps Engineer

to join our team and drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration, with a passion for building robust and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Development:

Design, implement, and maintain

GitHub Actions

pipelines for build, test, security scanning, packaging, and deployment across multiple environments. Standardize reusable workflow templates and composite actions; enforce branch protection, required checks, and release/versioning strategies.

Deployment & GitOps:

Implement and manage

GitOps

workflows using

Argo CD

for Kubernetes deployments (Helm). Establish environment promotion via pull requests and rollback strategies.

Security & Compliance:

Integrate

GHAS

(Code Scanning, Secret Scanning, Dependabot),

Black Duck

(SCA), and other security tools into pipelines.

Infrastructure Management:

Build and manage

AWS infrastructure

using

Terraform

and

Crossplane

. Ensure best practices for AWS services such as VPC, EKS, ALB/NLB, RDS/Aurora, S3, ECR, Route 53, Secrets Manager/SSM.

Containerization & Orchestration:

Maintain strong understanding of

Docker

,

Kubernetes

, and virtualized systems.

Collaboration & Documentation:

Work closely with developers, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for design and implementation.

Continuous Improvement:

Diagnose issues quickly and provide practical solutions. Stay current with evolving tools, practices, and cloud technologies. Drive code craftsmanship and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology OR equivalent vocational education. Proven experience in DevOps (5-10 years). Expertise in GitHub Actions, GitOps, Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with security tools like GHAS and Black Duck. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
