Software Technologist
A highly skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in building scalable APIs and services, along with a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems while ensuring seamless integration with cloud-native services.
Your role:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Work with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, etc.) to build and deploy applications.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
Manage and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Debug, troubleshoot, and monitor applications in production environments.
Contribute to architecture discussions and propose solutions aligned with best practices.
You're the right fit if:
5+ years of backend development experience
Strong knowledge of server-side programming (Node.js, Python, or Java).
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC.
Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure & services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud-native application design and event-driven architecture.
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Knowledge of authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Cognito, IAM).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary).
Proficiency in using IaC tools (Terraform / CloudFormation).
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
Experience with microservices architecture.
Exposure to containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Familiarity with serverless frameworks.
Understanding of DevOps/SRE practices.
AWS Certifications such as:
AWS Certified Developer - Associate
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
